BABYPHAT...

BABY PHAT by KIMORA LEE SIMMONS celebrated their 10 year anniversary with her best collection yet! I loved a lot of her pieces and in my opinion her most cohesive collections. Perfect closure to Fashion Week! Speacial shoutout to the lovely NATALIE HINDS for the invite! Here are some of my fav looks:

ARGYLE CULTURE Fashion Show Footage...

RUSSELL SIMMONS ARGYLE CULTURE presented their Spring 2009 collection during Fashion Week. Love the "preppy, hip-hop" look of this line! Check out the footage sent from Miguel (thanks!).

MAX AZRIA...

The MAX AZRIA show was packed to capacity! There were literally people everywhere! The show was great -- perfect finale from BCBG and Herve Leger. Big ups to the PR team! Pulling off 3 shows in 1 week is A LOT of work! The front row was very star studded...Joy Bryant...Zoe Saldana...Michelle Trachtenberg...Natasha Bedingfield...Barbara Bush etc etc. Overall the collection was very simple, clean & looked very comfy! There were a lot of draped, jersey dresses & jumpsuits...I loved the belted vests and "gypsy" pants...the color palette consisted of light grey, mauve's with splashes of teal, light orange & deep purple.

CYNTHIA STEFFE...

I LOVED this collection so much that I had to make the images smaller so everything would fit! CYNTHIA STEFFE rally had something for every type of girl in her collection! This was the first season that the new designer, SHAUN KEARNEY, designed and I am very impressed! Everything is very wearable! Trends to be on the look out for included: 1-strap shirts; flowy, printed dresses; "knickers"; jumpsuits; crisp, white ensembles; cropped jackets; lime green & black & white combos!

HALSTON...

LOVED all the bright colored dresses by HALSTON! They're very simple, but the flowy movement of them stil make them sexy...what do you think?

ROCK & REPUBLIC...

ROCK & REPUBLIC jeans are my absolute fav brand of denim! They give me "room to breath", but still give that uumph in those special areas! ROCK & REPUBLIC stuck to its roots with rocker inspired looks for Spring 09! There were a lot more party dresses this season which I LOVE.

Some trends to look out for:

1. Funky leather jackets for men...
2. Rocker-girl dresses equipped with grommets & studs...

3. The TUXEDO jacket is showing up everywhere this season!

4. RUFFLES...

5. One-shoulder strap blouses & dresses...
6. Crisp blazers & skinny ties for the fellas...
7. TIGHTER than TIGHT jeans....you better start those sit-ups and squats immediately!
8. Relaxed leather jackets for the Ladies...

9. The "LBD" -- a.k.a. "the little black dress" ... love the contrast of the "serious on top -- party on the bottom"!

10. One of my fav looks of the night! A different approach to the black legging look! Love it!

11. Black & White combos were the theme of the night. I personally think black/white are timeless! Another FAV look of the night...

ABAETE...

ABAETE (pronounced "uhh--baya--tay").

ABAETE by designer, LAURA PORETZKY was very clean, sophisticated & fresh! The color palette consisted of: light blue and white with splashes or yellow, orange & pink. I loved the shoes and ABAETE would get "extra cool points" if they make them available at Payless! ***Sidebar: ABAETE does a collection of shoes for Payless and they are very cute and very comfy...I have two pairs!

2. The tube dress...

3. How cute is this bathing suit?! Very covered but still sexy!

4. Seersucker is ALWAYS very chic for the spring & summer months...



5. I love her take no the shirt dress! I think the volumized bottom gives it a little spunk!


6. The one-strap dress -- a lot of designers are doing this.. aren't they?!

7. Tuxedo jacket! Love the crispness of the white color!

8. The detailing on this trench gives it a little flavor without going over the top.
