Variety has reported that Ridley Scott(famous director) is in talks with ANGELINA JOLIE & LEONARDO DICAPRIO (no explanation needed!) -- to star in the movie about GUCCI (NOT the rapper!) GASP! It's going to be a film about the Gucci fashion dynasty during the 70s and 80s! Filming is set to start in 2010! This may have single-handedly made my WEEK!

Her name is RENEE HAMILTON and she loves fashion like me!!! Double yay!!! While she isn't good to have around if you are on a diet (she always has snacks in her bag--and NOT the healthy kind) -- she's cute as a button!

Everyone says "Hiiiiiii Renee" ... she's a senior fashion design major @ Centenary College in NJ... her dream career is to become a fashion designer BUT she also has major LOVE for modeling, fashion photography and STYLING (and NO I didn't make her say that!) She's a crazed COACH fanatic! Her favorite designers are Betsey Johnson, Jean Paul Gaultier, Carolina Herrera, Gucci, Karl Lagerfeld, Versace, Dolce & Gabanna, YSL, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior --- AND in her words "...Giuseppes' are MEANN, and Louboutins are BADD!!" (I didn't make her say that either!!!) So if you see Renee running around the city or strutting on campus, make sure you do the "stanky leg" for her -- she loves that!

FOR THE INAUGURATION -- a lot of people "sat on the fence" about this ensemble, but I absolutely LOVED it!!! It was both classic, but still made her stand out! It was designed by ISABEL TOLEDO...

AND ... what we've be waiting for for MONTHS...Mrs. Obama graced all 10 Inaugural Balls in an ethereal design by fashion newcomer/genius at ONLY 26 years old -- JASON WU! What I loved is that Wu wasn't even expecting this and his dress will go down in history!!! Amazing!

The MAX AZRIA show was packed to capacity! There were literally people everywhere! The show was great -- perfect finale from BCBG and Herve Leger. Big ups to the PR team! Pulling off 3 shows in 1 week is A LOT of work! The front row was very star studded...Joy Bryant...Zoe Saldana...Michelle Trachtenberg...Natasha Bedingfield...Barbara Bush etc etc. Overall the collection was very simple, clean & looked very comfy! There were a lot of draped, jersey dresses & jumpsuits...I loved the belted vests and "gypsy" pants...the color palette consisted of light grey, mauve's with splashes of teal, light orange & deep purple.

I LOVED this collection so much that I had to make the images smaller so everything would fit! CYNTHIA STEFFE rally had something for every type of girl in her collection! This was the first season that the new designer, SHAUN KEARNEY, designed and I am very impressed! Everything is very wearable! Trends to be on the look out for included: 1-strap shirts; flowy, printed dresses; "knickers"; jumpsuits; crisp, white ensembles; cropped jackets; lime green & black & white combos!

ABAETE by designer, LAURA PORETZKY was very clean, sophisticated & fresh! The color palette consisted of: light blue and white with splashes or yellow, orange & pink. I loved the shoes and ABAETE would get "extra cool points" if they make them available at Payless! ***Sidebar: ABAETE does a collection of shoes for Payless and they are very cute and very comfy...I have two pairs!

Some of my fav looks:

1. The blazer an "inside out feel" from which her collection drew inspiration...

2. The tube dress...

3. How cute is this bathing suit?! Very covered but still sexy!

4. Seersucker is ALWAYS very chic for the spring & summer months...

5. I love her take no the shirt dress! I think the volumized bottom gives it a little spunk!

6. The one-strap dress -- a lot of designers are doing this.. aren't they?!

7. Tuxedo jacket! Love the crispness of the white color!

8. The detailing on this trench gives it a little flavor without going over the top.

Erin Fetherston's collection ALWAYS impresses me! Not only is she ADORABLE -- her collection is constantly getting better and better! I loved the angelic, fluffy & very girly aesthetic of her collection for Spring 09. Everything is very lightweight with a muted color palette.

Some trends to keep in mind:

1. HEADBANDS -- The just "came from the gym", but I'm still chic! LOVE it!

2. VOLUME -- Skirts & dresses have a very bouncy, girly feel. It reminds you of when you were a little girl and you just wanted to spin in circles in your Easter dress!

3. The lightweight, jumpsuit. I love the idea of using a jumpsuit as a beach cover-up!

4. One strap shirts & long, flowy skirts & pants. LOVE the thick waistband!

5. A 3/4 sleeve tuxedo jacket

6. A sophisticated trench coat!

RACHEL ROY spoke volumes with this collection! I love how Rachel sticks to what works for everyday women, but still adds her own little touch of class! Some trends in this collection were definitely volume...prints...the jumpsuit...loose fits. There was a ton of attention to detail with her beading and stitching.

Nicole Miller's collection consisted of PRINTS galore. There were also a ton of menswear infused pieces. I especially loved the look of the slouchy pants! Good news: the maxi dress will still be "in"...so feel free to recycle some of those you wore this summer! Also..check out Nicole Miller's less-expensive line at JC Penney's called: nicole by Nicole Miller -- it's VERY cute and VERY affordable!

I absolutely LOVE BCBG! Not only is it extremely affordable, it's also very fashion forward and cute (of course!) Personally, I loved it even more when 50 Cent gave it a shout out in the song "P.I.M.P." -- ...She got a thing for that Gucci, that Fendi, that Prada, that BCBG, Burberry, Dolce and Gabbana... My friends and I were too excited when that song came out -- after all is was a label that we could actually AFFORD begin rapped about!

Here's a little background on BCBG:
- stands for "bon chic, bon genre" which is French for "good style, good attitude"!
- Max Azria runs ALL BCBG collections with his wife, Lubov Azria. These collections include: BCBG, Max Azria (his higher end label), To the Max, BCBGirls, BCBG//Attitude (men's line), Parallel.
- Max Azria also owns the Hervé Léger label, as well as Rave, G+G, Ravegirls and Max Rave.

No..you really have no idea how Target and H&M saved my fashionable life! Everyone who has ever been an intern/assistant at a fashion mag knows that we could never REALLY afford the goodies that we schlep "in and out" of the fashion closet! Target allowed me to say "yes I'm wearing Issac Mizrahi gladiator sandals" and calmly leave out the "...for Target..." at the end!
